Reporting FFCRA Wages & Soc. Sec. Taxes on 2020 941s

(For Districts that DO NOT Pay FICA Taxes). Due to new FFCRA Leave, SOME school districts are required to report the FFCRA Wages and Social Security taxes on their 2nd, 3rd and 4th Form 941 Employer's Quarterly Federal Tax Returns. A new Form 941 was issued in April 2020 for the 2nd Quarter and another one was issued July 2020 for the 3rd and 4th Quarters. This 941 Return reporting requirement WILL NOT apply to a school district that does not have at least one employee (full-time, substitute or temporary) that pays FICA taxes. It is still critical to accurately calculate the FFCRA wages as we are required to report the FFCRA wages on the Form W2s for 2020.
