Attendees of this course will come away with an introductory conceptual overview of the current educational funding system for public schools in Texas, the undergirding principles of that system an overview of the reports, tools and templates available to help districts understand and project revenue under the Foundation School Program (FSP), and the calculations needed to compute funding under Tiers 1 and 2 of the FSP as well as recapture.

This ACT101A State Aid Calculation, Part I course will be in-person only. A test will be given for those taking the course for TASBO certification credit. Course materials, including the final exam will be accessed online. Attendees should bring a device to the training to access the course materials.
