School districts and Charter Schools are required to track all fixed assets and to record the assets in the general ledger. Documentation, such as purchase documents, granting agency pre-approval and funding source(s) is essential when purchasing assets with federal grant funds such as ESSER. This webinar will address the different types of fixed assets and how to properly record each type of asset. In addition, other topics such as capitalization, valuation and depreciation will be discussed.
