ACT306 Government-wide Financial Statements & Reporting

This course provides guidelines relating to U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to assist local school districts in preparing financial statements to be included in the districts’ comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR). Attendees will develop an understanding of key school district financial reporting requirements, the content of different sections and statements in the CAFR, and related reconciliations, adjustments and conversions.

A test will be given for those taking the course for TASBO certification credit. This course provides continuing education credit for TASBO certification (6 CEs), CPAs (7 CPEs), school board members, charter school administrators, TESA STEM participants and certified educators. No prerequisite required to register.

Cancellation Policy:  Cancellations must be sent IN WRITING by email (register@tasbo.org) or fax (512-462-1782). Cancellations received seven (7) working days before the event are cancelled in full, those received one (1) to six (6) working days before the event are cancelled at 50 percent, and cancellations are not accepted the day of or after the event. If you do not cancel and/or do not attend, you are still responsible for payment. If TASBO cancels an event, you will be refunded in full.
