The PUR205 Purchasing Compliance course provides a look at the federal requirements for the appropriate expenditure of federal funds by educational institutions. It focuses on proper procurement procedures and does not address all accounting aspects for federal funds. This presentation considers the mechanics for purchases subject to the Educational Department General Administrative Guidelines (EDGAR) and Other Applicable Grant Regulations as part of Title 34 Code of Federal Regulations. Failure to adhere to these regulations can mean loss of federal funds by educational entities, thus understanding purchasing requirements is essential.
No Prerequisite. A test will be given for those taking the course for TASBO certification credit.
This course will be in-person only. Course materials, including the final exam will be accessed online. Attendees should bring a device to the training to access the course materials.
