ACT203A The Basics of Investing School Funds

Receive a general overview of the legal requirements for investing public school funds, collateralizing depository funds, developing policies, and supporting resolutions. The course will introduce investment accounting and reporting requirements and the initial knowledge for cash management and investment strategies and provides six hours of training for designated investment officers under the Public Funds Investment Act (PFIA). 

A test will be given for those taking the course for TASBO certification credit.

This ACT203A The Basics of Investing School Funds course will be in-person only. Course materials, including the final exam, will be accessed online. Attendees should bring a device to the training to access the course materials.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations are only accepted in writing. Cancellations received seven (7) working days before the event are canceled in full; those received one (1) to six (6) working days before the event are canceled at 50 percent. Cancellations are not accepted the day of or after the event. If you do not cancel and/or do not attend, you are still responsible for payment. If TASBO cancels an event, you will be fully refunded.
