CANCELLED: Investment Training Workshop- Houston-Alvin

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this event has been cancelled. At this time, we do not have a rescheduled date, but will update when more information is available.

This workshop is designed to meet the requirements of the Public Funds Investment Act (PFIA). The law requires investment officers to attend at least 10 hours of training relating to the officer's responsibilities within 12 months after assuming the duties and at least 8 hours of additional training every two years thereafter. The session will cover a history and overview of the Public Funds Investment Act (PFIA), District Compliance Details, Authorized & Unauthorized Investments, Financial Accountability Measures, and The Federal Reserve System.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations must be sent IN WRITING by email to register@tasbo.org or fax (512.462.1782). Cancellations received seven (7) working days before the event will be refunded in full; cancellations received one to six working days before the event will be refunded at 50 percent; and cancellations received the day of the event will not be refunded. If you do not cancel and do not attend, you are still responsible for payment.
