MGT317 Financial Essentials

MGT317 or alternative MGT318 is a requirement for RTSBA certification. This course provides attendees with an understanding of school financial numbers so that informed decisions can be made. Essential financial topics including account coding, employee considerations, managing budgets, forecasting and planning, cost accounting, internal controls and financial reporting are addressed.

A test will be given for those taking the course for TASBO certification credit. This course provides continuing education credit for TASBO certification (6 CEs), CPAs (7 CPEs), school board members, charter school administrators, TESA STEM participants and certified educators. No prerequisite required to register.

Cancellation Policy:  Cancellations must be sent IN WRITING by email (register@tasbo.org) or fax (512-462-1782). Cancellations received seven (7) working days before the event are cancelled in full, those received one (1) to six (6) working days before the event are cancelled at 50 percent, and cancellations are not accepted the day of or after the event. If you do not cancel and/or do not attend, you are still responsible for payment. If TASBO cancels an event, you will be refunded in full.
