This course is a requirement for RTSBA and RTSBO certification. Taught by an attorney, attendees will come away with an understanding of education as a function of the state, employee hiring procedures, use of independent contractors, access to personnel records, political/union and professional organization activities, the Texas whistleblower act, reduction in force, special education hearings, liability issues, and other legal issues. No Prerequisite.

This MGT309 Business Administration and the Law course will be delivered online via Zoom. All course materials, including the final exam, will be accessed online. Attendees should plan to have a reliable internet connection and a device (such as a laptop or tablet) available during the course to access materials and participate fully.
