Basics of Conducting Effective Investigations of Employee Misconduct

When a report of alleged employee misconduct is received, the district must act on the report, which could call for an investigation. This session provides tips and tools for conducting an effective investigation of employee misconduct from a practitioner's perspective, not an attorney. The session will help participants prepare for the investigation, conduct interviews, write a report, and identify next steps for follow up or recommendations. (This session does not address investigations related to Title IX issues.)
