New to school finance? Are you ready to calculate your funding and learn how to keep tabs on it as the year moves along? The State Aid Template Workshop will focus on the completion of your state aid calculations. During this hands-on training, you will review the data necessary to complete the template, learn the new data elements and examine how they will impact your district’s funding. This one-day workshop is specifically designed for first-year business officials who are responsible for developing the district budget and for calculating state funding. Experienced budget professionals will be on hand to help you identify and locate the sources of information for the completion of the template.

Bring a working copy of your district’s state aid template, as well as your projected student counts, taxable value information, and tax collections assumptions, and spend the day working through the template. By the end, we hope you will have a more solid understanding of the data necessary to calculate your district’s state funding as well as changes and updates that will occur throughout the year.
