Lt Gen. Christopher D. Miller | Ethics in Leadership

Leaders in military organizations and leaders of education operations share many similar challenges. Successful leaders demonstrate consistent ethical leadership in small and large groups and complex situations; guide disciplined, foresighted planning for operations management and resource allocation; manage, develop, empower, and inspire people; while fostering effective anticipation, risk management, and reaction in crisis. This session will draw from three-plus decades of military experience to offer relevant leadership perspectives on these topics to conference attendees.

Lt Gen (ret) Chris Miller last served on active duty as the Air Force's deputy chief of staff for strategic plans and programs, leading the Air Force's multi-billion, five-year program formulation and longer-range planning efforts. As part of his current work, he supports the Air Force Academy's Center for Character & Leadership Development as the inaugural Helen and Arthur E. Johnson Chair for the Study of the Profession of Arms.
