INFORMATION FOR CONFERENCE SPEAKERS


Congratulations, you are speaking at the 2024 TASBO Engage Conference! Below you will find information on how to share this great news on social media, presentation tips, important deadlines, and so much more. This page will serve as the hub for conference speakers and will contain pertinent information. Please keep this site bookmarked as a resource to check upcoming dates and events! 

 

Session Details

All learning sessions will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center from February 19-23. A full conference schedule can be found here. In February, the conference app will be available for download and will include all sessions and room locations.

Handouts
Create your PowerPoint using the Engage Conference Template which you can download here. Once created, save your presentation in PDF format and submit it to pd@tasbo.org.
Speaker Responsibilities

You will need to check-in to the Instructor & Presenter Lounge (location coming soon) at least one (1) hour before your session begins.
  • Speakers are responsible for registration, travel, and hotel costs. If you would like to attend as a "presenter only," please email pd@tasbo.org. To attend the full conference or courses, please make those selections during the registration process. 
  • Speakers must meet all posted dates and deadlines.
  • All learning programs must be educational in nature, unbiased, and avoid direct or indirect promotion of any product or service.

Tech/AV for Presentation

We encourage the use of additional audio/visual components in your presentation to engage the audience. Tech and A/V help will be available on site. Please bring your presentation on a USB drive. Each breakout room will have:

  • Wide-screen projector
  • Lavalier microphones (please wear clothing that will allow for wearing a clip-on microphone)
  • Slide advance remote
  • Connection to speakers for audio/video
  • Laptop

Use #tasboengage and follow along with the conversation before, during and after the event! TASBO has created a helpful social media kit with language and graphics for you to utilize.

Speaker Resources

Sessions vary from 30 to 90 minutes in length. We suggest saving some of your allotted presentation time for Q&A. Rehearsing prior to the event is critical for success.
