Developing a Fiscal Manual

This workshop is to allow participants to prepare a "customized" Fiscal Manual for their school district. Using a sample template of a Fiscal Manual, every participant will fill in information related to their respective school district's business operations and should walk out of the workshop at the end of the day with their own Fiscal Manual. The Fiscal Manual will include procedures related to state and federal grant management, too. The instructor will discuss important topics such as activity account management, cash management, donations, fixed assets, and other critical business functions. In addition, the instructor will walk the participants through the process of creating and maintaining a Fiscal Manual. Participants should bring a laptop and a copy of their administrative procedures [if any] to the session as reference material.
